Information about the IGW visit As the leading international trade fair for food, agriculture, and horticulture, the International Green Week is an annual top meeting of the agricultural and food industry and the trade fair with the highest presence of federal and state politics in Germany, as well as many international ministerial delegations. From January 20 to 29, 2023, actors from politics, business, and society met at conferences, meetings, evening events, and numerous other side events to exchange ideas and network. |  |
At the IGW, tens of thousands of guests come to the exhibition halls under the radio tower every day. This makes the fair an important test market for new products and marketing strategies. Here, one can observe how consumers react to new products and how the market "ticks." Both in the food sector and in agriculture, the topics and visions of tomorrow are presented in the exhibition halls under the radio tower.
The International Green Week drew the attention of the media public to agricultural and nutrition issues in January. Every year, more than 3,000 media professionals from around 75 countries get accredited. Nationwide, around 19,000 reports, 700 television, and over 1,100 radio contributions about the IGW are published.
