Planting railings made easy

An open and airy look: Bar railings are a typical, modern construction form for delimiting balconies and securing floor-to-ceiling windows, as the vertical bars ensure an open and light appearance. This transparency lets in plenty of light and allows an unobstructed view from the balcony or through a floor-to-ceiling window.

Modernism and minimalism: The simple design of bar railings goes well with a wide variety of architectural styles, especially contemporary buildings. Planting conventional balcony boxes on the railing rail can spoil the visual appearance of bar railings and be distracting, especially with floor-to-ceiling windows.

With the ARRAY-PLANTER,  this open and airy look is maintained, as it is placed in the ground area between the struts of the railing and neither blocks the view nor restricts the incidence of light.

There are many different types of railings: railings usually consist of vertical bars that are arranged at regular intervals between an upper and a lower crossbeam. The bars of bar railings can be round, square or flat. Depending on design preferences and safety requirements, the distance between the bars varies, with building regulations defining a maximum distance to ensure safety against falls (especially for children).

Will the Array Planter fit on my balcony railing?

If it is a relatively modern railing in a private area, then the ARRAY-PLANTER will most likely fit:
The clear distance between the struts (i.e. from one inner side to the opposite inner side of the struts) should be greater than 8.5cm.
The thickness (diameter) of the strut should not exceed 2.5 cm.
In front of floor-to-ceiling windows, there should be a horizontal gap of at least 6 cm between the railing strut and the window frame or glass.
